BOUND is a slow fashion label that celebrates the time-honored art of macrame and weaving techniques in the creation of its handmade bags and accessories.
At the heart of BOUND's philosophy is a deep respect for the environment and a desire to minimize mass production and wastage.
Each bag and fashion accessory in our collection is made using 100% natural and/or recycled cotton strings, jute fibres and threads derived from upcycled textile waste wherever possible.
Each bag and fashion accessory is a one of a kind creation that celebrates your unique style, and made to order, just for you.
Each bag and fashion accessory is painstakingly woven, tied, twisted and knotted using traditional weaving and macrame techniques and therefore takes a considerable amount of time and effort to construct.
Responsibly made, conscious of our environment and respectful of our makers, owning a BOUND accessory means owning a unique and sustainable piece of fashion, made responsibly, made with love and made just for you.
Empowering women through skills training...
BOUND is also committed to empowering underprivileged, marginalized and the disabled communities by providing them with jobs and essential skills.

Ion Singapore, through SG Enable, commissioned us to design a Christmas Brooch for their staff using recycled materials. We collaborated with Social Gifting to teach the elderly intellectually handicapped at Bishan Home how to make it.

Teaching our lovely trainees about simple colour theory, watching them design their tassel keyrings, selecting colours and materials, and following step by step instructions in designing their own signature accessory.

At Bound, we start making your products only when an order is placed.
This means we do not carry any excess inventory so nothing goes to a landfill when we are unable to sell them.
We also try to use every scrap bit of string and cord which goes into the wrapping of your products as well as the creation of small items like brooches, cuff bracelets and necklaces to minimize waste.
Last but not least, the bags that are used to package your product are made of jute and canvas and designed so that you can repurpose them to hold your everyday items and knick-knacks.
